The proposed scheme envisages construction of an RCC weir on Neelum River just downstream of Sulkhalla village in order to divert flows from Neelum River to D/S stretch of Neelum River through a system of intake, sand trap, power shaft and power tunnel. An underground powerhouse is proposed on left bank of the Neelum River just at the confluence of Gehl Nar. Installed capacity of the power plant is proposed to be 300 MW and the annual energy generation will be 1347 GWh with a plant factor of 51.3%.
